Description: | CSSS Vice President Larry Boyle will be giving his 2013 Space Year in Review presentation in which he summarizes the significant space events of the year.
This meeting will also serve as our annual Christmas party complete with snacks and refreshments. Complimentary copies of Ad Astra, the magazine of the National Space Society, will be available. Festivities will conclude with a short business meeting. As always, CSSS events are free and open to the public so invite your friends and family to join us as we talk about the year’s important space events. |

Description: | Mars Desert Research Station Commander Kent Nebergall will speak about his experiences at the Mars Desert Research Station. The Mars Desert Research Station is a two-story simulated Mars base in the Utah desert that has helped NASA, universities, international crews, and others develop new methods and technologies for living on the Moon and Mars. Mr. Nebergall, an Astronomer on crew 32, was Commander of crew 124 in 2013 supporting work for NASA and the European Space Agency.
